Three-year (BA) Course in theatre design
Theatre Design, born as a branch of Architecture, is today an autonomous evolving discipline present in many sectors of design. Theatre design, Stage design, Costume design and Light design are arts interacting for theatre, cinema and TV representations as well as in fashion shows, trade fairs and museum displays. The objective of NABA’s BA course in Theatre design is the training of a professional figure operating closely together with directors, costume designers, light designers and crafts-people realising the product. Students will be able to face a fascinating yet complex work that requires a conceptual and creative preparation as well as a practical sensitivity and craft skills. The integration between a historical-cultural study and a technical-practical work is enriched by the possibility of significant experiences on the spot frequently occurring in a city like Milan with two of the most famous theatres in the world: La Scala and Il Piccolo Teatro.
